What does VIDIUS do?
VIDIUS is Utrecht’s student union. We are committed to supporting student life in as many ways as possible. We organize actions and protests that benefit students and ensure that the student voice is heard wherever decisions are made about us. We do this by maintaining contact with political parties, executive boards, the municipality of Utrecht, and many other organizations. Conversely, they also know where to find us. If the press or the municipality is curious about the perspective of Utrecht students, VIDIUS is the place to be! Besides representing their interests, VIDIUS also acts as an umbrella organization. We ensure that our 127 member associations have everything they need. We provide training, legal assistance, a marketplace, a knowledge base, and much more!
What does the board do?
As a board member, you are responsible for all the daily tasks of VIDIUS. For example, we maintain contact with member associations, assist with student initiatives, and intervene in local student issues. While there are some fixed responsibilities, a board year at VIDIUS is very flexible. By writing your own policy plan and internally dividing your portfolio, you can develop in the way that suits you best!
What do you get out of it?
You get a whole lot out of a year on the VIDIUS board. For example, you get:

- a board scholarship of approx. €354 per month;
- the chance to help the next generation towards a brighter and more secure future;

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who can dedicate between 10 and 40 hours per week to all students in Utrecht and possesses the following qualities:
- You have a sense of responsibility and are not afraid to take initiative;
- You work well together in a team, but are also independent;
- You are able to create an overview of your work and can respond adequately to new information and a changing environment;
- You are confident and dare to stand up for your opinion and interests; You feel connected to the vision of VIDIUS and promote it;
- You have perseverance and are motivated to dedicate yourself full-time to the interests of Utrecht students.
